Florida Vacation
Rentals fl
Florida is without
doubt one of the vacation rental capitals of the world. I
don't know if it's the weather, the proximity to the USA or
the simple fact that walt disney world is in Florida (as is
Epcot, seaworld, universal studios world and many other top
theme parks and resorts).
Once florida (fl)
gained momentum in its popularity as a vacation destination,
there was no stopping it. As the old saying goes "like
attracts like". Actually, the saying is opposites attract
but that law of attraction is clearly broken when it comes
to resort developers and their mad rush to claim the biggest,
most defined in luxury resorts for rental in florida.
Many people from
the public also joined the gold rush and became timeshare
and rental property owners in fl.
Whether or not
many of these fl rental vacations will stand the test of time
is anyone's guess. Ultimately we'll only find out after the
event.
One thing (actualy
two things) that stand in the way and raises a big question
mark over the long term viability for resort ownership in
florida are:
1) The weather.
It must be said
that from the average bystander, florida seems to be getting
hit with more and more hurricanes these days compared to days
gone by. Which could be as a result of global warming. Which
leads me nicely onto the second big question mark...
2) Rising sea levels
If global warming
scientists are correct in their theories, many places such
as florida may struggle to remain the resort capital of the
world simply by the fact that in a few decades time, most
of it could be under water. Mind you, if that is the case,
I dare say they would invest their money and get the spin
doctors going to turn it into a huge Venice of the USA.
VacationRentals.com
seems to provide a pretty comprehensive list of vacation rentals
in fl (florida).
However
a quick glance suggests to me they are not as competitive
on price as the new vacation club I've just discovered callet
resorts three sixty.
